Shelby Farms Park has more than 20 lakes and ponds available for fishing! The lakes are home to catfish, crappie, bream and largemouth bass. Trout are stocked in Jones Pond every December and January.
The main sport fishing lakes are Hyde Lake, Beaver Lake, Chickasaw Lake and Pine Lake. Other recommended lakes and ponds include Mayor Lake, Brood Pond, Indian Lake and Willow Lake. You can find a map of our lakes here.
Fishing piers are available at Beaver Lake and Pine Lake.
Non-motorized boats are allowed on all lakes, but not all lakes are easily accessed. Hyde Lake, Pine Lake, Beaver Lake and Chickasaw Lake (in that order) have the easiest access. Remember, there is no off-road driving even if pulling a boat to launch in the water.
